New to the Golden Melody Awards events, 2016 Golden Melody Academia creates industry-academic cooperation with “music video production” as this year’s theme. Seminars and exchange of information on popular music video production are held where well-known national artists and bands are invited to interact with students of audio-visual related majors. This bridges the academic and industrial activities and generates the continuous influence of popular music in schools.

BOXING

« 2016 Golden Melody Academia » has invited BOXING — the winner of the 26th GMA Best New Artist — to collaborate with pupils and teachers from Department of Industrial and Commercial Design of National Taiwan University of Science and Technology in creating stage’s visual image design based on the theme of BOXING’s to-be-released soft rock single. The result will be presented in « GMA Showcases » taking place in Neo Studio on June 23rd and « GMA Exhibition » from June 22nd to 24th.
