Senior Musician Fuming Chen Will Present Special Contribution Award,

Best Female Vocalist 2017 Eve Ai Will Perform Rui Su's Classics

......... 2018/6/12 . . .
2018 GMA Ceremony will be held at Taipei Arena on June 23rd. Best Female Vocalist Mandarin Eve Ai last year is invited back on stage to pay tribute to Special Contribution Award winner Rui Su this year. Ai is excited to return to GMA and perform iconic songs by Su in brand new ways. Although challenging to offer new flavors to widely popular songs, Ai looks forward to deliver the best performance possible under pressure, excitement and expectation. To showcase her best voices, Ai has taken a long holiday and practiced to relax. It’s important to feel comfortable, she says, and find the right balance in her act.

In this medley, Ai will collaborate with jazz pianist Yuying Hsu, nominated four times in GMA this year. This is her ideal performance format, Ai says, and it’s a pleasant surprise to work with Hsu, an alumnus from the same high school. Their passion in music will generate a great harmony on stage. Ai admires Hsu’s elegant but emotional performance. It’s an honor to perform at GMA Ceremony, says Hsu, so she is very excited. As jazz highlights improvisation and grace, their arrangements will add new components into classics, and remind people about good old days. GMA also invites Su’s instructor Fuming Chen to present this meaningful award.

GMA this year offers more services. Through GMA mobile application, users can choose cameras at six locations, including “red carpet and ceremony live”, “sign language service for red carpet and ceremony live”, “red carpet”, “interviews on red carpet”, “media interviews at red carpet”, and “winning speeches in ceremony”.
