The band consists of five members: vocal – Benji Cheng, guitar – A-Ray Chen, guitar – Alan Huang, bass – Joe Lo, and drums – Roy Lin. Their songs are made for road trips; holding our heads up high, with the wind at our back, and the road stretches as far as the eye can see.
As one of the few bands playing in the original American rock style; their music exudes a sense of wild masculinity, while their fans are mesmerized by their radiating stage presence. The band got together in their student years, with Benji handling the vocal, A-Ray and Alan guitars, Joe at bass, and Roy at drums. Growing up together, the boys always had unexpected last-minute funny pranks on the stage. But the humor only adds to their charm. Bringing the true rebel spirit of Rock music to the stage, the band is a much anticipated rising star in Taiwan’s music scene.
Sang Mei-Chuan is of Paiwan origin, from Cavak tribe in Sandimen Townshio of Pingtung Country, Taiwan. Her tribal name, Seredew, was given to her by her mother, which means 'infection'.
This is the unique culture in Paiwan traditional songs and poetry.
As Mei-Chuan states: ‘Music is of great importance to the Taiwan Indigenous Peoples, especially to the Paiwan tribe, who love to sing. Music and songs not only record our daily lifestyles and express emotions, but also record our histories, beliefs and cultural identity. Tribal Music/ Songs are like “Roots” that absorb the nutrients from the Land in Taiwan, for those indigenous groups that do not have writing systems, music and songs are one of the most important mediums in passing down their cultural identity.”

Taiwanese singer-songwriter Paige Su makes music that could only come from her. In Lieu of strumming a guitar, Paige’s instrument of choice is the electric harp, which she augments with effects pedals over a backdrop of her band’s intricate grooves, loops, and ambient textures. Her music, which features lyrics in both Mandarin and English, ranges in style from dreamy Björk-like tapestries to fuzz-laden riffs and electro-rock beats a la St.Vincent.
From a young age, Paige was a classical flautist and a pianist. Later, after a brief stint as a jazz singer, she realized that she had a lot more to say through her original music. A constantly-evolving artist, Paige’s songs show the influence of her extensive classical music training, as well as her love of everything from jazz to rock and EDM. Even elements of gamelan and Carnatic music show through in her songwriting, as a result of several musical sojourns to Indonesia and South India over the years.
A truly 21st-century artist, Paige Su conjures a musical realm that is unlike anything else you’ve heard before.

Their new single “Ahead Ahead”, co-produced by Koichi Tsutaya of Agehasprings, to launch this April is a big African-beat driven, dance-and-sing-along, feel-positive anthem that sings about the need to face new challenges without fear of failure or change in order to achieve one’s dream. Hailing from Taiwan, Canada and Brazil respectively, and having all been raised on different influences (Hip-Hop, Jazz, Funk, Soul, Reggae, Metal, Punk, Classical, etc.), there was never any initial intention to put out a record. They just knew they were all serious about their crafts and enjoyed playing together.
